End a TSM’s Employment

When to Use This Event

Use this event to report details related to a TSM’s departure from Henry Schein.

*Please Note—Departure details should be entered into Workday as early as possible to ensure adequate notification to appropriate departments (e.g. Payroll, Information Security, Security, etc.).

Termination

To return to the Workday Homepage, click on Workday icon at the top left of the screen. 

Click on the My Team Application:

  1. Identify the TSM who is leaving Henry Schein, and click on the Actions button 
  2. Hover over the Job Change hyperlink
  3. Click onTerminate TSM
  4. The Terminate TSM page will appear
  5. Click on the Prompt button next to the Primary Reason field and navigate through the drop-down menus to locate and select the Primary Reason the TSM is departing
  6. Click on the Prompt button next to the Secondary Reasons field and navigate through the drop-down menus to locate and select the Secondary Reasons the TSM is departing, if applicable. This field is not required
  7. Select the Termination Date
  8. The Last Day of Work field will populate with the Termination Date, but can be updated if the Last Day of Work and Termination Date are not the same
  9. If the TSM was someone that Henry Schein had wished to retain, check the Regrettable box
  10. If the TSM is eligible for rehire, check the Eligible for Rehire box
  11. If the position will not be filled after the departing TSM vacates it, check the Close Position box
  12. If available, click the Is this position available for overlap? box if the position will be filled in the future and overlap is authorized. Otherwise, leave blank
  13. In the Comments box, indicate when system access should be disconnected. If residual access is required, indicate who should receive access and the length of time it is needed. Sensitive or Confidential information relating to the termination should NOT be entered in the Comments

When all fields are complete, click Submit at the bottom of the page.

The following fields should be entered as part of this process:

Field

Explanation

Termination Date

Enter the date the termination is effective.

Last Day of Work

Will default to the Termination Date.  Enter a new date if the Last Day of Work and Termination Date are not the same.

Primary Reason

Enter primary reason for termination.

Secondary Reasons

Enter additional reasons the TSM is leaving the company, if applicable.  This field is not required but is helpful for analysis.

Regrettable

Check if the TSM was someone Henry Schein had wished to retain.

Not Eligible for Rehire

Check if the TSM will not be eligible to be rehired in the future at Henry Schein.

Close Position

Check if the position will not be filled after the departing TSM vacates it.

Is this position available for overlap?

Check if the position will be filled in the future and overlap is authorized.  Otherwise leave unchecked.

Comments

Indicate when system access should be disconnected.  If residual access is required, indicate who should receive access and the length of time it is needed.  Sensitive or Confidential information relating to the termination should NOT be entered in the Comments
